It is with great disappointment that we, as the board of Wyoming Volleyball, have decided to terminated the 2020 volleyball season. A great amount of consideration went into our decision, wading into the water of these unprecedented events, attempting to make the best decision. Ultimately we are in positions to do what is best to protect our players. Even if we ever get to the point that gyms are open, allowing play that could lead to a mass spread of the virus is an overwhelming risk. As with other events being cancelled around the state and nation, it is unfortunate, but cancellation at least offers some certainty in these uncertain times.
Wyoming Volleyball plans to issue refunds of the WYSA Fees that were collected. Refunds will be distributed via the SportsEngine system used to register for the season. Expect refunds to be returned to the payments source used. Refunds will take several days to complete.
Wyoming Volleyball has no control over the AAU cards. Wyoming Volleyball has also paid substantial money to AAU Nation for the licensing of events, practices, and sanctioning. I am certain volleyball associations across the nation are seeking refunds from AAU National. Thus far AAU National has made no indication pertaining to refunds.
Wyoming Volleyball wishes everyone the best during these trying times.
